Clerk: Gareth Latchem (Family, Employment & Housing)
Beth has built a busy practice since arriving at Colleton Chambers in 2011 in all aspects of family law proceedings, including;
- Public law child care, adoption and secure accommodation, acting for parents, local authorities and Guardians.
- Private law proceedings, in particular residence, contact, prohibited steps and specific issues, representing parents, grandparents and Guardians.
- Injunction proceedings and family law appeals.
Beth spent four years working at the Probation Service before qualifying as a barrister and has undertaken training in respect of domestic violence. She has experience in working with clients with mental health problems.
Beth receives instructions from housing associations and tenants in all aspects of housing law, in particular possession proceedings.
Beth’s practice includes all aspects of employment law, in particular:
- Sexual discrimination
- Victimisation and harassment
- Unfair dismissal
- Breach of contract
Beth has successfully represented claimants and respondents at preliminary, contested and remedy hearings.
