Children Act
Gail is a member of our specialist family team and has a busy family practice including Children Act matters both in public and private law cases. She undertakes regular work on behalf of local authorities and frequently represents Guardians, parents and other family members through private and public law instructions. Gail is able to utilise her maturity and experience to sympathetically assist vulnerable and anxious clients.

Family Law Act and Matrimonial Causes Act
Gail regularly appears on behalf of partners who find themselves requiring the assistance of a practical and yet robust practitioner. With the changes in the public funding of such matters, Gail is well placed to provide clear, succinct and appropriate advice with the minimum of fuss.


Animal welfare
Having spent 20 years as a veterinary surgeon Gail has experience in all aspects of animal welfare and health matters and has acted on behalf of the RSPCA, other animal welfare agencies and advised local authorities on their welfare policies.

Marine Law
Gail has undertaken cases involving marine contracts, advised on Harbour Revision Orders and appeared in the Admiralty Court. She is happy to undertake work on all aspects of marine law.

Clinical and Professional Negligence
Gail’s dual qualification makes her uniquely positioned to undertake work in all areas of medical and professional law. She has advised on negligence claims and would welcome instructions on any area which would utilise her particular skills and expertise.

Gail is happy to provide training and seminars in aspects of animal welfare, family law and civil matters. Having spent three years as an elected hospital governor, she has a comprehensive working knowledge of the functioning of hospital trusts and has given presentations on the role of governors in foundation trusts.
