Nigel Wraith
Crime
Since Nigel transferred to the bar he has established a steady Crown Court practice. As his practice has developed, he has been instructed in more serious trials such as rape, armed robbery, and drug trafficking. Given his background as a solicitor in private practice, Nigel mainly defends with about a third of his caseload seeing him appear for the prosecution.
Regulatory Crime
Nigel has prosecuted and defended a wide range of cases involving regulatory crime, including those brought by Trading Standards, local Councils and DWP.
Inquest
Nigel has appeared in Coroners' inquests including deaths in custody.
Employment/Disciplinary
Nigel is also part of the Employment team, and is happy to act for employers and employees alike.
Personal
Nigel is originally from Devon and is married with three young children. He enjoys most sports and regularly cycles, swims, kayaks and plays football and tennis.
