Crime

Since Nigel transferred to the bar he has established a steady Crown Court practice dealing mainly with cases such as ABHs, burglaries, and drugs possession. As his practice has developed, he has been instructed in more serious trials such as rape, armed robbery, and drug trafficking. Given his background as a solicitor in private practice, Nigel mainly defends but has also prosecuted many cases.

Anti-Social behaviour

As a solicitor, Nigel represented one of the first ten year olds in the country to receive an ASBO. The boy was afforded anonymity on appeal to the Crown Court. In addition to defending many applications for ASBOs, Nigel has also acted for Plymouth City Council in applying for a Closure Order under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003.

Personal

Nigel is married with three young children. He enjoys most sports and regularly cycles, swims and plays football.
