Product Liability

Barry acts for claimants and defendants in product liability cases (including multi-party actions) both in the UK and abroad. He has extensive experience within this area of the law including regulatory compliance, product recalls, trade description and labelling issues, personal injury claims and injunctive claims. His practice covers cross-border litigation and he alsadvises on wider policy issues tmanage product liability risks.

Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence

Barry specialises in all aspects of personal injury work. He advises clients on catastrophic and fatal injury claims, head and spinal injury cases, occupational accidents and diseases (he is the main editor of Munkman on Employer's Liability). He advises on multi-party actions.

Barry advises claimants on high value clinical negligence claims (including cerebral palsy) and claims by former health trusts employees.

Health & Safety

Barry's expertise covers a wide range of health and safety law, particularly workplace fatalities and accidents. He has been involved in several major HSE prosecutions and has extensive experience of public inquiries and high profile inquests.

Environment

Barry has advised claimants and companies on environmental matters and is currently retained in this country's largest multi-party action arising out of environmental nuisance.
