Practice
Liz joined Colleton Chambers in June 2007. Her first five years of practice were spent in Chambers in London at 36 Bedford Row. From 1996 she practised at Walnut House, Exeter developing a mixed practice of Crime, Family and Civil. Since 2002 Liz has focussed entirely on Family Law.
Public Law
Liz regularly represents parents, guardians and local authorities in public law cases , both in care proceedings and adoption proceedings.
Private Law Children
Liz has extensive experience acting for parents (and other parties) in private law disputes involving Residence, Contact, Removal from Jurisdiction, changes of name and other Specific Issue disputes.
Finance
Liz has acted for parties in a wide range of ancillary relief cases, including complex cases which have involved businesses, fraudulent concealment and dissipation of assets.
TOLATA
Liz has a particular interest in cases involving claims for beneficial interests in property under TOLATA and has delivered training in this field to solicitors
Personal
Married with 3 children, which leaves her no time to pursue any of her own interests!
