Practice
After many years of undertaking mixed family and criminal work Mark's practice is concentrated on family work though largely as it relates to children. He acts for Local Authorities, Guardians and Parents in equal measure throughout both the Public Law and Private Law fields.
He is characteristically modest about comments in THE LEGAL 500 as well as CHAMBERS & PARTNERS.
He retains a criminal practice though this is largely confined to prosecuting offences relating to or concerning children.
The interplay between the two jurisdictions is an area on which Mark is often asked to advise.
A realistic and down to earth approach to litigation leads only to rare forays to London: RE W (Removal into Care) (2005) 2FLR 1022 is a recent example.
