Recent Employment Training

On Thursday 11 October Colleton Chambers hosted an enjoyable evening combining drinks and an employment update.

Sarah Hornblower and Graham Watson provided a case law update on recent cases involving unlawful deductions, appeal time limits, what constitutes giving notice and the employment status of salaried partners.  There was also an update on forthcoming employment legislation that may be introduced.

Sarah and Graham additionally gave the attending legal professionals the opportunity to bring their own questions and queries.

Recently Sarah Hornblower has also given her time to the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team in Tavistock to ensure they are familiar with the Inquest process and their roles within it.  Sarah recreated a mock inquest and took the coroner role (pictured above) calling the volunteers as witnesses to give them valuable hands-on experience of the situation.
