Mini Pupillage

A week’s mini pupillage is a taster of life at the Bar.  As a reflection of life at the Bar, mini pupils must be aware that attendance at court with a barrister is not guaranteed across the week and will only be offered according to appropriate court hearings available. We also cannot guarantee that hearings will be available in your preferred field of practice.

Due to the sensitive nature of our work, we operate a minimum age requirement of 18 years of age. In addition, applications will not be considered unless applicants have completed their first year of University.  Please see the policy (link below) for further information.

From December 2026 applications may be sent to Alex Howard by way of covering letter and CV and including dates available to attend chambers for one week in 2027.  Applications received prior to 1 December 2026 will not be retained or considered.

All mini pupils are required to adhere to and sign a Confidentiality Form and adhere to our policy (HERE). Please hand the completed forms to the clerks upon arrival in Chambers.
